Margaret Johnson, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), died 7 December 1836.1,2

Margaret married Squire Force, son of Obadiah Force and Joanna Manning, at Hanover, Morris Co., New Jersey, 6 March 1770.3,4,2

She is said to be the daughter of John M. Johnson, DDS of Madison. (ref "Gen. Mag. of NJ, pg 21, Vol. 21, No. 2, April, 1948" [sic]). [the reference is in error at least twice: Vol 21 is for 1946, and page 21 should be in the January issue.]

A note from Madison Church records:
Johnson, John M., stated supply pastor 1753 for 1yr, late pastor of Pres. Ch. Hanover, left Hanover due to threatening blindness, had a farm S.E. of Morristown, ret'd to Hanover (Tuttle ms).

Joseph F. Tuttle wrote The Early History of Presbyterianism in Morris County, N.J. This may be the Tuttle ms referred to above. On fiche at FHL and elsewhere (see World Cat).4,5
