During the Revolution, he was listed as a private in the Morris Co., New Jersey militia.
In a 1778 list of New Jersey Ratables, he is shown as a householder with one horse, 2 horned cattle, and 3 hogs.
"16 Jun 1793, Squire Force, an interloper and intruder, took forcible possession of my lot of ground called the parsonage, at the meeting house." From "Records of the Presbyterian Church at New Providence, New Jersey" kept by the Rev. Jonathan Elder, 1763-1793.
In 1816 he is shown in a Jury Census, living at 49 Pearl Street, New York City. He was a cartman, age 60, with 3 male and 1 female inhabitants in the household.1,2,4,5,6,7
