Mary Schellenger, daughter of Daniel Schellenger, was born in 1732.1 She died at Southampton, Suffolk Co., New York, 26 December 1778,1 and was buried at the Mecox Cemetery, Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co., New York, where her stone reads:
In memory of Mrs. Mary Cook wife of Mr. John Cook and daughter of Mr. Daniel Schellenger who died December 26th, 1778 in the 46th year of her Age . . . . . tomb . . . . . home.1

Mary married John Cook, son of John Cook and Mehetabel Howell, say 1750.1,2
