William Fitz Robert, 2nd Earl of Gloucester, son of Robert Fitz Roy, 1st Earl of Gloucester and Maud Fitz Robert, died 23 November 1183.1

William married Hawise of Leicester, daughter of Sir Robert of Meulan "le Bossu," Knt., 1st Earl of Leicester and Amice de Montfort.1 He also had an unknown mistress by whom he had one son.2
