Calm and resigned dear Polly lies,
Tho' snatched away from dearest friends,
We trust she dwells above the skies,
Where troubles cease & sorrow ends.
She left a partner long to mourn,
The loss of one so dear and kind.
Grant him O! Lord sufficient grace,
Unto thy will to be resigned.1
