Elizabeth Halsey, daughter of Jeremiah Halsey, was born in 1766.¹ She died 11 August 1834,¹ and was buried at the Hayground Cemetery, Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co., New York, where her gravestone is inscribed:

As a wife and parent she was kind affectionate & exemplary.
She filled up life with usefulness & duty & died with a hope of a glorious immortality

Servant of God, well done,
Thy glorious warfare's past
The battle's fought the race is run
And thou art crowned at last;
Of all thy heart's desire
Triumphantly possessed
Laid by the ministerial
In thy Redeemer's breast.¹

Elizabeth married Samuel Cook, son of David Cook and Hannah Topping.²
