Elizabeth Halsey, daughter of Jeremiah Halsey, was born in 1766.1 She died 11 August 1834,1 and was buried at the Hayground Cemetery, Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co., New York, where her gravestone is inscribed:
As a wife and parent she was kind affectionate & exemplary.
She filled up life with usefulness & duty & died with a hope of a glorious immortality
Servant of God, well done,
Thy glorious warfare's past
The battle's fought the race is run
And thou art crowned at last;
Of all thy heart's desire
Triumphantly possessed
Laid by the ministerial
In thy Redeemer's breast.1


Elizabeth married Samuel Cook, son of David Cook and Hannah Topping.2
