Abraham Fancher, son of John Fancher and Hannah Weed, was born at New Canaan, Connecticut, 10 December 1754.1 He died at Amsterdam, Montgomery Co., New York, 5 February 1838,2 and was buried at Green Hill Cemetery, Amsterdam, Montgomery Co., New York.3

Abraham married Sarah Newman, daughter of Samuel Newman and Sarah Peck, at Stamford, Connecticut, before 15 September 1773.2

In 1790, his household was probably the one enumerated at Fredericksontown, Dutchess Co., New York, with 2 free white males over 16, 5 under 16, and 3 free white females.4
