Sarah Fancher, daughter of Abraham Fancher and Sarah Newman, was born at Pound Ridge, Westchester Co., New York, 13 March 1779.1,2 She died at Troy, Rensselaer Co., New York, 16 April 1844, as noted in the Troy Daily Whig, April 17, 1844: 2 col 5:

In this city, on the 16th inst., SARAH SHERMAN, wife of David Sherman, in the 66th year of her age. The relatives and the friends of the deceased are respectfully invited to attend her funeral on Thursday the 18th instant, at the session room of the 1st Presbyterian Church, First st.3,4,1,5
and was buried at Mt. Ida Cemetery, Troy, Rensselaer Co., New York, where her stone is inscribed:
Sarah, wife of David Sherman. died April 16, 1844 in 66th year of her age.5
Sarah married David Sherman, son of Abiel Sherman and Mary Boughton, at New York say 1800.6,7

The Fancher Family states (without citing a source) that she ". . . m. ----- Sherman. Had daughters, one m. a Palmer."8
