Ruletta Cook, daughter of Colonel Ellis Cook and Margaret Griswold Cocker, was born 10 March 1774.1,2 She died 16 May 1815,1 and was buried at the Old Town Burying Ground, Newburgh, Orange Co., New York, where her stone is inscribed:
In memory of Ruletta,
the wife of Samuel O. Gregory,
who departed this life May 16th, 1815,
in the 41st year of her age.
Also, of Seth, their infant Son, aged 2 days
Weep not for me but for yourselves.1


Ruletta married Samuel Odell Gregory, son of Jedediah Gregory and Rhoda Fairchild, at Hanover, Morris Co., New Jersey, 29 September 1792.3,4,5,6,2
