Fernando I, Emperor of Spain, son of Sancho III, King of Navarre and Munia "Mayor," Countess of Castile, was born in 1019.1 He died at Leon, Spain, 27 December 1065,2,1 and was buried at St Isidoro of Léon, Spain.

Fernando married Sancha of León, daughter of Alfonso V, Emperor of Spain and Elvira Menendez.3,4
