Hiram Kilgore Walling, son of Daniel Walling and Sarah Nancy Walling, was born at Scott Co., Virginia, 11 June 1816, per his daughter's death certificate.1,2,3,4 He died 14 July 1888,5 and is thought to be buried at Big Hill Cemetery, Broughton, Hamilton Co., Illinois, near his first wife.6

Hiram married (1) Mahala Howard, daughter of Robert Charles Howard and Sarah Yarborough, 21 April 1835;5 he married (2) Susan Dorsett, whose parents are unknown (or not traced here), 6 April 1880.5
