Sarah White, daughter of Josiah White and Mary Rice, was born at Lancaster, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, 21 October 1680.1

Sarah married John Wilder, son of John Wilder and Hannah Atherton, at Lancaster 1699.2,3

The estate settlement of a land sale by her father, Josiah, is the evidence that Sarah White married John Wilder. The town vital records record her name as Sawyer, but that record was made well after the fact. Sarah's stepfather was a Sawyer, but that marriage occurred just before the deed was made and well after Sarah had married John Wilder which may have led to the confusion.
