Eleanor Bohun, daughter of Sir Humphrey de Bohun, Knt., 6th Earl of Hereford, 7th Earl of Essex and Maud d'Eu, was living 10 June 1278. "Sometime after that date, members of her household petiioned the king stating she was mad and an imbecile, and requested a suitable wardship for her."1

Eleanor married, as his 2nd wife, Sir John de Verdun, Knt., son of Theobald le Boteler, 2nd Lord Boteler and Rohese de Verdun, before 1267.1
