Mahaut of Brabant, daughter of Henry II, Duke of Brabant and Maria von Hohenstauffen, was born about 1224.1 She died 29 September 1288,1 and was buried at Cercamp Abbey, Artois, France.1

Mahaut married (1) Sir Robert of France "le Vaillant," Knt., Count of Artois, son of Louis VIII "le Lion," King of France and Blanche of Castile, at Compiegne, France, 14 June 1237;1,2,3 she married (2) Gui II de Châtillon, Count of Saint-Pol, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Naples, Italy, 16 January 1255.4
