Sir Edmund de Arundel, Knt., 9th Earl of Arundel

Sir Edmund de Arundel, Knt., 9th Earl of Arundel, son of Sir Richard Fitz Alan de Arundel, Knt., 8th Earl of Arundel and Alice de Saluzzo, was born at Marlborough Castle, 1 May 1285.¹ He was captured at Shropshire by Queen Isabel's forces, and beheaded without trial at Hereford, Herefordshire, England, 17 November 1326.² He was first buried at the Franciscan church, Hereford. "After repeated appeals to Queen Isabel and her son, Edward, by the abbot and convent of Haughmond, his remains were secured for reburial at Haughmond Abbey, Shropshire, England."²

Edmund married Alice de Warenne, daughter of Sir William de Warenne, Knt. and Joan de Vere, after 30 December 1304.¹
