Sir William de Warenne, Knt., son of Sir John de Warenne, Knt., 7th Earl of Surrey and Alice le Lusignan, was born 15 January 1256.1 He was apparently ambushed and killed by his rivals, 15 December 1286, after attending a tournament at Coroydon.1 Both he and his wife were buried at Lewes Priory, Sussex, England.1

William married Joan de Vere, daughter of Sir Robert de Vere, Knt., 5th Earl of Oxford and Alice de Sanford, about 10 June 1285.1
