Catherine Duboys, daughter of Thomas Duboys and Katharine Gillhampton, was born in 1688 (she was 27 in the 1715 census).1,2
Catherine married (1) Guy Ball, son of Joseph Ball and Mary (…), about 1704.1,3
Catherine appears to have remarried. Two Catherine Balls were married in 1724 and 1725. Which is the mother and which is the daughter is uncertain:
Neither Catherine left any children of record by Chearnley, Maynard, nor Patterson.
One of these Katherines was the mother, the other the daughter. Though not certain, it seems most likely, given the status of her first husband, Guy Ball, the mother married Chearnley as his second wife and it was the daughter who married Maynard and Patterson.4
