Laura Caroline Henry, daughter of Dr. Simeon Zelotus Henry, MD and Laura Canfield White, was born at La Prairie, Quebec, Canada, 30 April 1825 (or perhaps 1824).1,2,3,4,5,6 She died at Hopewell, Mercer Co., New Jersey, 10 May 1903, and was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York, 13 May 1903.7,1,8

Laura married (1) William Hardie, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Troy, Rensselaer Co., New York, 16 August 1841;9 she married (2) Thomas Bain Jackson, son of Archibald Jack and Marion Bain, 24 January 1854.10,11,12

From the Troy Budget, 17 Aug 1841: Married - In this city last evening by Rev. Dr. Snodgrass, William Hardie Esq. of Montreal to Laura C. Henry, second daughter of Dr. Henry of this city.

A note from Sarah (Henry) Covel to either Emma (Force) Atkins or Adele (Force) Cooke reads,
"My Father & Mother were married on the 17th day of Nov 1814 in the village of Troy, State of New York. So that he must have gone to the states to study before he was married for it was then that he met my mother and then moved back. All of the children were born in La Prarie but your mother who was born in Montreal-we all came to the states except my eldest brother who came sometime before us. I was 9 years old when we moved to the states and was married at 20."

The note is unsigned and unaddressed.

She died at Fairview Farm and was buried in Green-Wood Cemetery, Lot 19680, Section F.
