Marion Bain Jackson
Marion Bain Jackson, daughter of Thomas Bain Jackson and Laura Caroline Henry, was born at Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York, 27 July 1863.1,2,3,4,5,6,7 She died at St. John's Hospital, Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York, 7 March 1905,8 and was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York, 10 March 1905.8,9,10
Marion married Walter Sylvester Force, son of Ephraim Squire Force and Sarah Jane Whitehead, at Brooklyn 20 September 1881.2,11,12,13,1
Marion died on the operating table during surgery for an abcess of the ovary. Adele, her youngest daughter, had her ovaries removed late in life, due to cancer. Her daughter, Adele Gansevoort (Cooke) Mitchell, died of ovarian cancer. There may be a genetic weakness here.
