Mercy Grant, daughter of Joseph Grant and Mary Grafton, was born at Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, 20 September 1702.1,2 She died at Watertown, in 1767.3

Mercy married (1), as his 2nd wife, Daniel Stearns, son of Nathaniel Stearns and Elizabeth Dix, at Watertown, 1724;3 she married (2), as his 2nd wife, William Goding, son of William Goding and Mary Pease, at Watertown, 8 October 1753.4,5

A caution was entered in the Watertown records against the settlement of Mary Godding who had come from Cambridge in December, 1763.6
