King Henry I to Henry Gregory
Henry I, King of England, son of William "the Conqueror," King of England and Maud of Flanders, was born in 1068 or 1069.1,2 He died at Lyons-la-Forêt, Normandy, France, 1 December 1135,1,2 and was buried at Reading Abbey, Berkshire, England.2

Henry married (1) Maud of Scotland, daughter of Malcolm III, King of Scots and Saint Margaret of Scotland, 11 November 1100;3,2 he married (2) Adeliza Louvain, daughter of Godfrey I "the Bearded," Duke of Lower Lorraine and Ida de Chiny, in 1120.2

Besides his two known wives, Henry had a number of mistresses, some known, some unknown, by whom he had at least 17 children. The known mistresses include:
     Ansfride (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was the widow of Anskill, a knight who was a tennant of Abingdon Abbey2
