Robert II "the Pious," King of France, son of Hugues Capet, King of France and Adélaïde, was born at Orleans, France, between 970 and 974.1,2 He died at Melun, France, 20 July 1031.1,2

Robert married, as her 2nd husband, (1) Rosela "Susanna", daughter of Berengario II, King of Italy and Willa of Arles, between 989 and 990;1 they later divorced, between 991 and 993;1 he married (2) Bertha of Bergundy, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), between October 996 and February 997;1,3 their union was disallowed by the Pope on grounds of consanguinity in February 997;1,4 he married (3) Constance of Arles, daughter of Guillaume II "le Libérateur," Marquis of Provence and Adélaïde "Blanche," of Anjou, about May 1004.2
