Charles Epperson, son of John Epperson and Elizabeth Lambert, was born at Westmoreland Co., Virginia, 15 May 1777.1 He died at Johnstown, Gibson Co., Indiana, 25 December 1844, and was buried at Spillman Cemetery, Montgomery, Gibson Co., Indiana.1

Charles married (1) Sarah Harris at Lincoln Co., Kentucky, 13 July 1807;2,3 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Elizabeth Smith, daughter of James Andrew Smith and Margaret Truax, at Adair Co., Kentucky, 2 April 1827.4
