Polly Winslow, daughter of Kenelm Winslow and Damaris Wilder, was born at Petersham, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, 12 September 1777.1,2,3,4 She died 23 July 1856,5 and was buried at Somerset Cemetery, Somerset, Niagara Co., New York.5

Polly married Amasa Pierce, son of Samuel Pierce and Mary Stewart, at Halifax, Windham Co., Vermont, 12 November 1801.6

Something is wrong here. Catherine Sharpsteen was born in 1831-2, and Polly would have been 55 at that time. Her biological clock was long expired, so there must be some other relationship between the two. Was Catherine a grandchild, whose Pierce parent is unknown at present?7
