Samuel Pierce

Samuel Pierce was named in his father's will dated 8 Sep 1746, proved 4 Nov 1746.

Lived on Wanoosnoc Road in Fitchburg. Held minor civic offices there, and was a member of Capt Ebenezer Woods' company, 19 Apr 1775, the second of the two companies that marched that day from Fitchburg to Lexington.

On 23 Jun 1777 the town voted for Samuel Parse and six others to estimate the town's cost or contribution toward "the present war."

He was born on 25 Mar 1737 Lunenburg, MA. He married Mary Stewart, daughter of Solomon Stewart and Martha (--?--), on 19 Mar 1761 Lunenburg, MA. He died in Mar 1798 Fitchburg, MA.
